Background & Qualifications
Denise studied as a Nutritional Advisor alongside Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage and enjoyed it so much that she went back full-time to study the old Holistic Therapies Diploma (Advanced Massage, Body Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Counselling, and Business studies) before gaining further qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy, Advanced Sports Therapy, Functional Rehabilitation, Care of Medicines, Ultrasound, Pathology, Equine Taping and Acupuncture Techniques for Sports Therapists (this list is by no means exhaustive).
In 2004, she started training in advanced therapy techniques to improve her knowledge and clinical practice in assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in a sports medicine setting encompassing soft tissue techniques commonly used in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Sports Medicine. After a further 10 advanced courses, including spinal manipulation and neurological testing she became a Bodymaster Method® Practitioner in 2014. More recently in 2018, she studied a further 42 modules (all must be passed at 100%) to be awarded the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
Having refreshed her knowledge of spinal anatomy biomechanics, along with pelvic and sacroiliac dysfunction in 2020, Denise enrolled on a LIVE 6 day cadaver dissection course and started studying with the National Academy of Sports Medicine to better understand corrective exercise.
Methods and ideas change and must constantly be updated so Denise undertakes regular CPD with leading surgeons, doctors, sports medicine lecturers and healthcare professionals, accredited online courses and further reading/self study.
Denise later took the decision to expand the business and after completing further training in branches of aesthetic medicine she became qualified and insured to practice medical aesthetics for men and women (adults only).
