Bodymaster Method®

The Bodymaster Method®, developed by John Gibbons, approaches the body as a complex integrated unit, where one dysfunction may require more than one area of expertise.

As a British Army PT instructor John became increasingly frustrated by the limited results from traditional physiotherapy and became convinced there must be better ways to remove pain and increase mobility without resorting to drugs and invasive therapies and embarked upon a quest to find a method to treat the whole person, not just the presenting symptoms. After leaving the army and training in Osteopathy, Sports Therapy, Exercise Rehabilitation, Spinal Manipulation, Acupuncture and Nutrition, John developed the Bodymaster Method® – a unique fusion of therapy techniques rigorously designed to remove pain and restore mobility without recourse to drugs or surgery.

John now teaches the Bodymaster Method® to Doctors, Physiotherapists and Sports Therapists, running training courses and seminars to establish a network of Bodymaster Practitioners worldwide. He has numerous books and articles published internationally and teaches the Bodymaster Method® all over the world.

Denise has worked with John throughout much of this journey and is a registered Bodymaster Practitioner herself. She continues to support him in his quest to make learning a difficult subject a little easier to understand for therapists from various backgrounds around the world and features in many of his training videos on YouTube and therapy books demonstrating dysfunction and corrective exercise.

As a Bodymaster Practitioner, Denise has a high level of anatomical knowledge and understanding of body mechanics and works first of establishing the cause of the pain rather than just treating the presenting symptoms.

• Acupuncture and dry needling

Denise offers Remedial Clinical Massage Therapy Sessions incorporating the Bodymaster method, combined with other techniques as required, from her private clinic in Stanford in the Vale, between Wantage and Faringdon in Oxfordshire with morning and evening appointments available.
