Wrinkle Softening/Reducing Injections

Fine lines and wrinkles are one of the most concerning signs of ageing for many men and women and is often top of their list when looking to restore a more youthful appearance.

Expression wrinkles and fine lines can be softened with anti-wrinkle injections but deeply lined skin is better suited to skin rejuvenation treatments and products that induce better skin quality by stimulation of the skin’s matrix with emphasis on collagen and elastin stimulation as well as deep hydration. This is because with age fat deposits are depleted, collagen and elastin reduced which alongside bone loss leads to a weaker structure to support a rapidly thinning, sagging and drying skin.

There are two types of facial wrinkles: dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement resulting in lines around the eyes and forehead and static wrinkles caused by loss of elasticity and collagen in the skin, by smoking or sun damage.

Collagen Biostimulator Treatments – Hyaluronic acid injectable treatments that hydrate the deeper layers of the skin and promote the production collagen and elastin to rejuvenate the skin and improve static wrinkles by moisturising, tightening and lifting of the skin tissue.

Wrinkle Relaxing/Softening Injections (formerly known as “Botox®”) – An injectable treatment that reduces dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movement such as forehead frown lines, lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet lines around the eyes by preventing contraction of facial muscles.

Whilst the main purpose of anti-wrinkle injections is to improve or temporarily remove existing lines, anti-wrinkle injections can also be used as a preventative measure to delay the formation of future expression lines.
